Abstract

Alfred A. Fahlstedt (12/30/1915 - 6/6/1987) was born in Marquette, Michigan. He served in the United States Air Force for 26 years and retired at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in 1967. During World War II, Alfred "Bud" served in the European Theater. The collection consists of his escape maps and some personal papers.

Harry Pells was Jewish businessman in Denver, CO. He owned and operated an insurance agency and was an active marine. Harry Pells enlisted in the Army in both WWI and WWII. He was later involved in veterans’ organizations, such as the Jewish War Veterans and the American Legion where he organized a toy drive that sent over 50,000 toys to Europe.
